Back to the Future The Game Review

This past week, I played the Telltale game, Back to the Future. Now I'm a fan of the movies and the game is a great compliment to the series. It follows up the series in a way that I say that it pretty much is a fourth movie.

The story is broken into five parts, and at first it seems like unnecessary, yet it works well to tie everything together. I like the same comedy in the movies is present in the game. The characters are as lovable as before and even the bad guy has some redeeming qualities.

The overall plot is full of references to the past movies, which helps tie it into the universe.

The only complaint that I have is the controls can be a bit wonky at times. Sometimes you try to select an item to interact with and it just doesn't want to do it. This would be alleviated with the use of a mouse, but since I was tied to a controller it wasn't that great of an experience.

Overall, for my second Telltale game, I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. I never finished the other Telltale game I played, which was Sam and Max. So if you are a fan of the Back to the Future series, then you do well to give this game a shot. It's available on most platforms currently.
